One recent unique gift began with a request to make an outdoor anniversary piece that would be fun throughout the day, and into the evening. As with all our work, it is constructed of reclaimed parts, in this case an actual Volkswagen door.
Not only does it resemble their wedding carriage, but this bug is also a solar light. At night it projects the words “Just Married” through the bottom.

Nearly complete, you can see the rear window is really a solar panel. When placed in a spot that gets ample light during the day, it will automatically light up as the sun goes down.
Wheels, can’s, aluminum passengers…the unique anniversary bug is ready for display.
To elevate this piece, it was created with two posts. The post’s and wheels slide into tubes fitted under each bumper. Slide in the posts, and it is ready for the outdoors.
